Reliable Roof Repairs in Dublin with Video Proof & Written Guarantees

A damaged or leaking roof rarely stays a minor inconvenience for long. With Dublin’s persistent Atlantic rainfall, coastal winds, and unpredictable freeze-thaw cycles, a cracked tile or torn underlay can rapidly transform into waterlogged ceiling plaster, damp insulation, and structural timber decay.

At MP Roofing, we bring over 15 years of trade-tested expertise directly to your doorstep, providing fast, permanent roof repairs across every neighborhood in Greater Dublin.

Whether you are dealing with water actively dripping through a bedroom ceiling following a winter gale or noticing dislodged slates in your garden, our team responds quickly. Backed by €6.5 million in public liability insurance and a Safe Pass certified crew, we take the stress out of roof repairs.

We never ask you to take our word on faith: Mike inspects your roofline on camera, shows you high-definition video of the exact fault before issuing a quote, and backs all repair work with our written 5-year guarantee.

The Problem

The homeowner noticed persistent water ingress and damp insulation inside their attic space following heavy wind-driven rain, even though the concrete tiles appeared mostly intact from ground level. Upon stripping back the tiles, the true culprit was immediately clear: the original bitumen underfelt had deteriorated over decades into dry, brittle paper riddled with tears and holes. Trapped moisture and crumbling mortar debris had degraded the aging timber laths, allowing rainwater that blew past the outer tiles to bypass the secondary barrier entirely and run straight into the rafter lines.

The Solution

Mike and the crew stripped back the affected roof pitch, setting aside the sound tiles for reuse. We cleared away the rotted timber laths and disintegrating tar paper down to the bare rafters, inspecting the structural roof timbers to confirm they remained sound. We then installed a heavy-duty, vapour-permeable breathable roofing membrane (Roof-X 125), dressing it securely with generous lap lines to create an impervious weather shield that lets internal household moisture escape. Fresh, pressure-treated timber counter-battens were fixed securely in place to provide solid anchoring and proper airflow beneath the tiles, before re-laying and aligning the original tile courses with weather-tight precision.

The Result

A restored, fully ventilated roof deck that permanently stops attic leaks without the expense of purchasing entirely new tiles. By diagnosing the failure on camera and replacing only the decayed underlying components, the homeowner received a modern, storm-proof roofline backed by MP Roofing’s written workmanship guarantee.

How quickly can you repair an active roof leak in Dublin?

For active leaks and severe storm damage, we operate a same-day emergency response across Greater Dublin. When you call Mike directly, our goal is to have a crew on site within hours to isolate the water ingress and protect your property from interior ceiling and electrical damage.

How much does a typical roof repair cost in Dublin?

The cost depends on accessibility, the roof material, and the extent of the damage. A localized repair, such as replacing a handful of slipped slates or resealing a minor flashing joint, is relatively straightforward. Re-bedding loose ridge tiles, rebuilding damaged chimney masonry, or repairing large sections of rotted underfelt involves more labor and materials. We provide a transparent, fixed-price quote based on clear video footage before any work begins, so you will never face unexpected charges.

Can you match my original roof slates or tiles?

Yes. With over 15 years working on Dublin roofs, we have established supplier connections across Ireland. Whether your home features natural Spanish slates, weathered Bangor blues, synthetic Tegral slates, or specific concrete profiles from manufacturers like Redland or Marley, we source replacement units that blend seamlessly with your existing roof.

What guarantee do you provide on roof repairs?

Every roof repair carried out by MP Roofing comes with our written 5-year workmanship guarantee. If you experience any issues related to our repair work within that timeframe, our crew will return and rectify it at no extra cost.

Do you handle roof insurance claims for storm damage?

Yes. Severe storms regularly cause structural roof damage across Dublin. We provide comprehensive written damage reports alongside our high-definition photo and video evidence, which you can submit directly to your home insurance company or loss assessor to ensure your claim is processed smoothly.
